Guiding Research
The work we do is based on the best information that is available in the realm of children, families, and learning. The documents below are what we use to guide our practice.
Early Learning Framework
Province of British Columbia
The Framework establishes a vision for respectfully living and learning together. It supports the rich early learning experiences of children, provides a focal point for dialogue among British Columbians, and creates a common language and greater understanding of the vital importance of early learning for all young children.
Early Years Service Framework
BC Ministry of Children and Family Development
This Early Years Service Framework outlines the policy direction for all early years services supported by MCFD. In providing clear policy direction, this framework seeks to explain what early years services are, why they are needed, and the goals, principles, service types and terminology that underpin these services. This information is intended to benefit families, service providers, and policy and decision makers.
Indigenous Early Learning & Child Care Framework
Government of Canada
The Framework provides a commitment to collaborate, through real partnerships with Indigenous peoples, enabling Indigenous-led early learning and child care programming for their children and families. It points a way to a present and future where Indigenous peoples determine the programs and services their children need and where all Indigenous children grow up in an enriching environment that helps them meet their full potential.
